I displayed my ebon vanguard title to get the Rebel Yell effect. As you can see on my other skills, I have very much an anti-charr skill template.
Just don't open the doors, but go to the back instead. Make sure to clear everything before going to the gate. Near the boss in front of the gate is an invisble trigger. If you walk in it, the doors will open and charr will rush in. So make sure to lure all enemies to the back.
I also did a bit of micromanagement by disabling the skill "Fall Back" when escorting Rurik to the wall. Just skip the first cinematic quickly. Then run immediately to the west and then go south. Avoid all charr until the final boss, which should be an elementalist. while running after the cinematic, keep casting "Fall Back".
